Lewes is the county town of East Sussex, on the River Ouse where it cuts through the South Downs. Castle on the hill, priory ruins, Bonfire in November, Glyndebourne in the fields, Anne of Cleves House on the tourist leaflet. A covers band in Lewes has to respect that it is a real town with real pubs, not a backdrop.
The Vests are based in Hassocks, West Sussex, on the other side of Ditchling Beacon. It is a short run over the Downs, not a coastal tour. We play 90s Britpop, classic rock and indie anthems. Five-piece, our own PA, two 45 minute sets or as requested. Price on request. We cover all of Sussex, East included.
The Hassocks Pub and Mid Sussex Music Hall are where we play at home. Lewes bookers get that band, in your room, if the date is free.

Over the hill, not over the story
Lewes sits where the Ouse carves a gap in the Downs, which is why the castle is there and why the high street still feels like a market town. Battle of Lewes, 1264, if you want the history bit. Bonfire Societies if you want the November bit. We are a covers band for the other fifty-one weeks: birthdays in Southover, pubs in Cliffe, a hall with a plug socket.
Hassocks to Lewes is a Downs crossing. We are twenty minutes away and we bring the PA. If your venue is a flint room with a low beam, send a photo so we can check the kit fits.
Glyndebourne is next door. If you want Common People at midnight after the dinner, that is the enquiry form.
