Next town north

Next door, not a booking from London

Burgess Hill is a town and civil parish in West Sussex, the most populous in Mid Sussex, about ten miles north of Brighton and Hove and a few minutes from Hassocks on the same railway. It grew from Clayton, Keymer and Ditchling once the London and Brighton line arrived in the 1840s. Church Walk is the pedestrian bit. World's End spills into East Sussex. That is the map. A covers band in Burgess Hill does not need a tour bus.

The Vests rehearse in Hassocks, the village immediately south. We play 90s Britpop, classic rock and indie anthems. Five-piece, our own PA, two 45 minute sets or as requested. Price on request. Birthdays, pubs, engagements, the Triangle if you can get us in, village-style halls on the edge of town.

Live rooms in Hassocks are The Hassocks Pub and Mid Sussex Music Hall, a few minutes down the line from Church Walk. Birthdays, pubs, engagements and hired halls in RH15: send the date.

Hassocks, then Burgess Hill

The next station, not the next county

Hassocks and Burgess Hill share the Brighton Main Line and a lot of the same Saturday nights. We are the Hassocks band, ten minutes from the Martlets, the Victoria Business Park, and The Triangle leisure centre. The set works in a function room.

On the northwest edge is Bedelands Farm Nature Reserve. To the south, the Downs. In the middle, a town that used to be St John's Common. The gigs that make sense here are pubs, social clubs, birthday halls and the kind of civic room that already has stacking chairs. Send us the ceiling height if it is low.

Parts of World's End sit in the Lewes district of East Sussex. We cover all of Sussex. Burgess Hill is the closest town to Hassocks.

Good to know

Burgess Hill questions

How far are you from Burgess Hill?

Hassocks is the next town south, one stop on the Brighton Main Line. For a covers band, that is local. We cover all of Sussex, but this one is a short van ride.

Do you play in Burgess Hill?

Yes. Hassocks is the next town south. Live rooms are The Hassocks Pub and Mid Sussex Music Hall. Send the date.

Can you play a pub in town?

Yes, if there is power and space for five. We bring the PA. Two 45 minute sets, or as requested around your hours.

Do you do birthday parties in RH15?

Yes. Birthdays, engagements, anniversaries, celebrations. Same band as the pub nights. Price on request.

What should the venue provide?

A couple of plug sockets and somewhere that is not the fire door. We bring the PA. Photos of the room help.
